HRSC Presents Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors

On July 22 - 24 The Hudson River Shakespeare Company will present Shakespeare’s self proclaimed comedy, The Comedy of Errors, at the Little Theater on the Farm in Fort Edward. Yes, folks, this is a comedy!

The Comedy of Errors tells the story of two sets of identical twins that were accidentally separated at birth. Antipholus of Syracuse and his servant, Dromio of Syracuse, arrive in Ephesus, which turns out to be the home of their twin brothers, Antipholus of Ephesus and his servant, Dromio of Ephesus. When the Syracusians encounter the friends and families of their twins, a series of wild mishaps based on mistaken identities lead to wrongful beatings, a near-seduction, the arrest of Antipholus of Ephesus, and accusations of infidelity, theft, madness, and demonic possession. Nick Korobovsky and Dylan Petersen-Taylor play the Antipholi while Colby Harvish and Andy Haag play the Dromios.

Performances will be July 22 and 23 at 8 pm and July 23 and 24 at 2 pm. Admission is $10 and $8 for students and seniors. Please call 747-4418 or email hrsc1999@aol.com for reservations. Reservations are recommended. Assisted listening devices will be available.
